be installed on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed, please click on the Acrobat Reader icon (at right) and download
the Acrobat Reader for free. If you

The
Firebird Association is currently using the Portable Document Format (pdf) to publish its newsletter and many of its historical
documents. The
PDF’s ability to compress large files is a worker's dream! A reader will supposedly see the document
formatted in the same way as the author. In plain language, it is a file
that will look the same on the screen and in print, regardless of what kind
of computer or printer someone is using and regardless of what software
package was originally used to create it. A PDF file is self contained
and compresses files to make them easier to download and use. Anyone
- including Windows, DOS, Macintosh, SUN, and UNIX system users - can view
and print a PDF file using the free Adobe® Reader®, from the Adobe web site.
Once the Adobe® Reader® software is properly installed, all on has to do is
click on a link to a “.pdf” file and it will be
loaded for viewing on his or her computer. |
