Sondrestrom AB, Greenland. Crew member checking on the
progress of his water melting operation. Melted ice provides drinking water. The orangish hue is caused by the
alternating white and international orange panels of the parachute roof. The whole crew slept in this
structure the first night. The
next day it was used as a combination kitchen and dining room. Caption by Bill
