British Red Devils in North Africa Near Beja

The text below the picture in this WWII news clipping states: BRITISH PARACHUTE TROOPS are on patrol in the area of Beja. British and American paratroops were dropped ahead of the First Army to seize airfields, make contact with the enemy, and cover the advance.

Dear Nolan,

This is actually a newspaper photo of Dads group leaving the farmhouse on patrol near Beja. As you look at it the front left gentleman is holding a sheet of paper in his outstretched left hand, that is their platoon sergeant SGT Forsyth and directly behind the outstretched arm, in the second row is my dad--Private John P. Potterat.
