_{317th FIGHTER INTERCEPTOR SQUADRON LOSES MASCOT}

SHOWS UP-Mike, the Man of Iron, recently escaped from the 317th FIS, seems to be making the rounds looking for a new home. When he checked out the 17th Tactical Airlift (Firebird) Squadron early this week it wasn't apparent whether Lt. Col. Kenneth E. Bethe, squadron commander, was interested or not. Or, is he just intent on signing adoption papers?
