Cape Lisburne Radar Site in August of 1972. Another of the dangerous airfields often visited by the Firebirds. On 26 Jan 1963, a civilian Curtiss C-46F was lost in the Chuckchi Sea with one fatality. One pilot drowned in the 27^o Fahrenheit water.
