Popular Alaskan Pastime. Another thing that the early Firebirds had never seen “up close and personal” was a snow mobile. Snowmobile races were quite popular during the mid to late 1960’s in Anchorage. The Eskimos in Point Barrow called them a “white man dog team.” |
